PD 400 lathe system with CNC control from Proxxon
The control of the axis drives of the precision mechanics lathe by computer enables the precise machining of steel, non-ferrous metal and plastics and the production of threads with different pitches.
Axis drives by stepper motors and ball screws (no backlash). For face and longitudinal turning, for turning balls, radii and any freely designed contours made of steel and non-ferrous metal. Once the desired part has been designed on the computer, workpiece machining can be automated and started as often as required. Thanks to the high repeat accuracy, each component is identical to the next.
The mechanical design is largely identical to that of the proven Proxxon PD 400 lathe: Solid, transversely ribbed machine bed made of gray cast iron, ground, wide-legged prismatic guide for support and tailstock ensure vibration-free operation and optimum accuracy of the lathe. Precise RÖHM -3-jaw lathe chuck (Ø 100 mm, turning diameter). 6 spindle speeds (80 - 2,800 rpm) by switching/reversing the drive belt. Incl. rotating center point with MK 2 holder in the tailstock of the Proxxon lathe. With practical multiple turning tool holder and 2 steel holder elements, height-adjustable and with stop. The center width is < 300mm. The quill stroke is 40mm.
Complete with ball screws, powerful stepper motors and the necessary limit switches, the CNC control unit, all necessary plug-in connection cables and the WINDOWS®-compatible software on CD-ROM.

Proxxon CAD / CAM-Software für Windows® Soft- und Hardware
Die Software ist für optimale Arbeitsergebnisse genau auf die Maschine abgestimmt. Angesteuert werden die Schrittmotoren von der CNC-Steuereinheit, die via RS 232-Schnittstelle oder mit USB-Adapter, mit Ihrem Computer verbunden ist.
Leistungsfähige Mikroprozessoren und großzügig dimensionierte Leistungsendstufen sorgen dafür, dass die Motoren in jeder Situation kraftvoll und präzise arbeiten können. Zwei frei konfigurierbare Relais in der Steuereinheit ermöglichen die Steuerung von Zusatzfunktionen, so kann z.B. eine Kühlung geschaltet werden. Lieferung komplett mit Anschlusskabeln mit passenden Steckern.
Einfaches Erstellen der Werkstück-Geometrie am Bildschirm
Beim Starten des Proxxon Programmes erscheint das CAD-Fenster auf dem Bildschirm. In gewohnter WINDOWS®-Umgebung wird die Kontur des Werkstückes erstellt. Umfangreiche Hilfsmittel erleichtern die Bedienung des Programmes, das neben der Nutzung der Maus auch die Eingabe von Koordinaten (absolut und relativ) unterstützt. Jedem Zeichenelement sind Technologieangaben zugeordnet. So sind z.B. unterschiedliche Bearbeitungsgeschwindigkeiten und ein manueller Werkzeugwechsel möglich. Das Importieren von dxf-Dateien wird ebenfalls unterstützt.
Automatisches Erzeugen der CAM-Daten, CNC-Programm
Die fertige Zeichnung des Werkstückes wird per Mausklick in den Befehlssatz, ( DIN/ISO 66025 ) CNC-Programm für die Maschine umgewandelt. Damit kann die Bearbeitung gestartet werden. Man kann den Befehlssatz auch manuell editieren oder exportieren. Umgekehrt erlaubt das System auch das Importieren oder das komplette Selbstschreiben von Datensätzen.
