VentiSorb soda lime was developed to remove the metabolic product carbon dioxide ( CO2 ) as an absorber from underwater breathing systems ( rebreathers, breathing apparatus, hyperbaric chambers, submarines and in industrial gas production. VentiSorb is also intended for professional use in anaesthesia circuits, systems and respiratory therapy equipment to remove exhaled CO2 from the breathing circuit. It can be used for almost all rebreathers, whether Dräger Dolphin, Kiss or Submatix.
The big advantage of VentiSorb compared to other scrubber products is the presence of a colour indicator, which allows an excellent assessment of the saturation state in the scrubber. The colour indicator changes from white (fresh) to violet (used).
