Diving bottle blank, 10 liter 300bar without attachments
Steel cylinders have proven themselves as diving cylinders. The 300bar technology is also becoming more and more popular in diving. Diving schools and diving centers are increasingly converting their breathing air compressors to 300bar. What are the advantages of 300bar - the larger air supply with the same cylinder size and the diver needs less lead.
This 10 liter diving cylinder has a weight of 14 kg which corresponds to a steel volume of 1.86 liters. This tank has a total displacement of 1,86 l + 10 l = 11,86 l.
According to the law of Archimedes it loses 11.86 kg in water and has a displacement of 2.14 kg when empty. The normal 200bar 10 liter diving bottle has a downforce of approx. 0,8 kg. So the diver can take about 2kg less lead with him to the lake and has the same weight to carry but has nearly 1000 liters more breathing gas available.
