Double diving cylinder valve compressed air 230 bar M25x2 bottle neck thread
Diving cylinders with bottle neck thread M25x2 are the most commonly produced diving cylinders. The diving cylinder valves with metric threads M25x2 and M18x1.5 are O-ring sealed and are tightened with a lower torque than the conical bottle neck threads. This is beneficial for semi-professional assembly operations, as disassembly and assembly are not as demanding as with conical bottle neck threads.
But why diving cylinder valves with two separate shut-off outlets? Like any technical device, a regulator can fail, an unpleasant prospect underwater during a dive. Double diving cylinder valves or twin valves offer the possibility of fitting two independent regulators. In an emergency, simply close the valve of the failing regulator and switch to the second regulator. In some diving waters, diving cylinder valves are already prescribed as double valves.
