Die Gasflaschenventile neuerer Bauart sind mit einem Restdruckventil versehen. Dieses Resdruckventil wird mit diesem Adapter Geöffnet. Der gewindeadapter hat ein Innengewinde G5/8", das ist der Standartanschluss für Druckluft.
