Seamless steel cylinders are used as pressure vessels for a wide range of applications. The main applications are storage, pressure buffering, and the transport of compressed gases. The transport of compressed air for the purpose of diving has brought a number of diving cylinders to the market. However, this is just a tiny fraction of the applications.
