Steel diving cylinders have a long tradition. Since around 1860, diving cylinders or compressed gas cylinders have been manufactured in this dimension, with an operating pressure of already 150 bar at that time. Today's modern diving cylinders have operating pressures of 200 bar, 232 bar, and 300 bar. The 10-liter diving cylinders are available in all three pressure levels. In practice, there is no significant difference between 200 bar or 232 bar. The air compressors of most filling stations are set to a shutdown pressure of 225 bar. After cooling the diving cylinder, there is still about 200 to 210 bar pressure in the diving cylinder.
