Kink Protection for Medium and High-Pressure Hoses
Pneumatic hoses and hydraulic hoses all have a minimum bending radius that must not be undershot. However, this often happens at the ends of the hoses when transitioning to the metallic end pieces. To prevent this, hose end reinforcements, also known as kink protection, were developed by engineers to specifically prevent this. Even though some diving instructors believe they are smarter and consider this kink protection to be wrong, it is the component that guarantees the longevity of pneumatic hoses, high-pressure hoses, and medium-pressure hoses.
