Thread Adapter for Oxygen Valves G3/4" with Residual Pressure Valve to G5/8" Compressed Air
Oxygen cylinders are equipped with valves that include a flow protection or residual pressure valve. This additional valve, a type of non-return valve, prevents gas from escaping from the cylinder and dropping to 0 bar if the cylinder valve is accidentally opened. A residual pressure of approximately 5 bar always remains in the cylinder, allowing gas suppliers to maintain gas purity without having to evacuate the cylinder each time. To fill oxygen cylinders, this valve must be opened during the filling process. The G5/8" 200 bar compressed air female thread allows direct filling or gas transfer using equalizing hoses with G5/8" connections, without requiring an additional adapter from oxygen to compressed air. The set screw can be used to actuate the valve and should be adjusted individually for each cylinder.
