Thread Adapter for Noble Gas and Carbon Dioxide Valves W21.8 with Residual Pressure Valve to G5/8" 200 bar Female Thread
For carbon dioxide (CO2) and all noble gas cylinders such as argon and helium, as well as gas mixtures used for shielding gas welding, valves are equipped with flow protection or residual pressure valves. This additional valve, a type of non-return valve, prevents gas from escaping from the cylinder and dropping to 0 bar if the cylinder valve is accidentally opened, leaving a residual pressure of approximately 5 bar in the cylinder. To fill these gas cylinders, this valve must be opened during the filling process. At the same time, this thread adapter allows the cylinders to be filled or gas to be withdrawn using compressed air fittings. The residual pressure valve is actuated via the set screw.
