Aluminum diving cylinders from MES, a classic in technical diving as a stage cylinder. Aluminum diving cylinders, like all technical equipment, have advantages and disadvantages. The main advantage is that aluminum cylinders are neutrally buoyant in water, while in an empty state, these diving cylinders have some buoyancy. This makes them nearly unnoticed as stage cylinders during a dive. The disadvantage is the greater weight outside the water compared to equally sized steel diving cylinders. The 80 cuft diving cylinder, that is, the 11.1-liter aluminum diving cylinder, is large enough for longer decompression times of one to two hours. The cylinder of the diving cylinder has a diameter of 184mm. Its natural appearance makes it robust, as no paint can be damaged. Aluminum naturally has corrosion resistance.
